Michigan’s We Came As Romans started the way most other bands do—just a group of friends that wanted to play music and have fun together. But after some time playing in the local scene, it was clear the band had that special something that kept fans coming back. Their rapidly growing fan base lead them to headline shows around the state, and eventually stints on national tours with such bands as Our Last Night, Gwen Stacy, and The Number 12 Looks Like You.

In September of 2008, David Stephens (vocals), Kyle Pavone (vocals & synth), Joshua Moore (guitar), Lou Cotton (guitar), Andy Glass (bass), and Eric Choi (drums) teamed up with producer/engineer Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Emarosa, Attack Attack!) and recorded a four song EP entitled "Dreams" that was released for free in December. The impressive debut had over 25,000 downloads first day and over 100,000 within the first week, resulting in the bands placement as a Top Artist on Purevolume for over 10 straight days.

The band’s momentum continued to build—Equal Vision Records signed the band earlier in the year, shortly after Alternative Press Magazine recognized We Came As Romans in their "Hometown Heroes" special (AP #247), having been voted #1 by the magazine's readers.

Currently on tour with A Plea For Purging and Burden Of A Day until May 22nd, We Came As Romans will return to the studio with Sturgis at his Foundation Recording Studio in Connersville, IN. Cotton promises "the full length will be similar to the EP but with a new edge to it." The album is planned a Fall 2009 release on Equal Vision Records.
